Who is Entitled to a Cure?

Every legally insured person is entitled to an outpatient preventive cure every 4 years. Prerequisite: All outpatient therapies at the place of residence must have been exhausted.

How to Submit the Cure Application

1. Appointment with the family doctor — discuss complaints. 2. Doctor fills out Form 61. 3. Submit application to health insurance. 4. Wait for approval (approx. 3-4 weeks).

What Costs Does the Insurance Cover?

For approved outpatient cures: subsidy for accommodation (approx. €13/day), cure treatments, and visits to the cure doctor. Co-payment: €10/day. For inpatient cures: full cost coverage minus €10/day co-payment.

Cure Abroad

Within the EU, a cure abroad is possible. The insurance reimburses up to the level of German rates. Cures in the Czech Republic or Poland are particularly popular — same quality, lower prices.
